I have never tried tying these style of flies but I need too!
ReplyDeleteIf you have ever tried a soft hackle wet before, it's somewhat similar. The big exception is that you can give more life to your fly with subtle twitches. The hackle will open and close when intended and not at the whim of the current. The majority of the time I will use this type of fly.
